Aurangabad, April 17:

Shiv Sena demanded strict action against those who incited the crowd against police after the death of saloon shop owner at Osmanpura and making his video viral on social media.

A delegation of Sena comprising its city unit chief Balasaheb Thorat, former corporator Kishore Nagre met the commissioner of police Dr Nikhil Gupta on Friday and submitted a memorandum of demands.

It may be noted that saloon shop owner Feroz Khan Qadir Khan (51, Peer Bazaar-Osmanpura), who had kept shop open, collapsed while talking with police on Wednesday afternoon.

A crowd gathered in front of Osmanpura Police Station caused chaos for two hours, alleging that Feroz died after police beat him up.

CP Nikhil Gupta transferred police inspector Dilip Tare, PSI Pravin Wagh and another office Sandeep Dharme to the police headquarter.

On the basis of Close Circuit TV Cameras footage, it was found that Feroz fell on the ground after feeling giddiness. He sustained a serious head injury and died.

Sena demanded wrong information was spread among citizens about police on social media and putting the police force in a dismal situation, so action should be taken against those who are responsible for this.
