Aurangabad, June 12:

The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) will hold the State Eligibility Test (SET) in Maharashtra and Goa on September 26.

The registration began on May 17 and its last date was June 10. The SPPU which State nodal agency for the test, received representations from candidates that they could not register for the test due to Covid.

So, the university extended the last of the registration up to June 17. With a late fee of Rs 500, candidates can apply between June 18 and 25th.

Those candidates who have completed their postgraduate degree in 71 prescribed subjects with minimum 55 marks can apply for the examinations. The subjects included Marathi, Hindi, English, Sociology, Political Science, Commerce, Education and Geography.’

The test will consist of two papers that will be conducted in objective mode. The first paper, which will be of general nature, consists of 50 objective type compulsory questions, two marks each.

The second paper consists of 100 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry two marks.
