Aurangabad, April 16:

Retired faculty of Maulana Azad College, Shaikh Abdul Rehman, died of a brief illness, today morning. He was 60.

He was suffering from a kidney ailment for the past few years and was presently undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

His Namaz-e-Janaza was performed at Bhadkal Gate Masjid in the afternoon, while the burial took place in Chittakhana graveyard, near Town Hall.

He is survived by his wife and three sons. The departed soul was a former senate member of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) and former member of Aurangabad Divisional Board of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE, Pune).
