Aurangabad, Jan 5:

The MSRTC had set up special feeding room ''Hirkani Kaksh'' at the central bus stand. However, many female passengers cannot find the room as it is located in the waiting room for Shivneri bus passengers. A news was published in Lokmat Times highlighting the issue on January 4. Taking note, the ST corporation has put up boards to make the feeding room easily visible to passengers.

The feeding rooms were established in 2013, at all ST bus stands in Maharashtra. The objective was that the mothers can breastfeed their babies in privacy and provide comfort to both mother and child. However, the Hirkani Kaksh at the central bus stand (CBS) is located inside the Shivneri bus waiting room. Hence passengers on the platform were not able to locate the feeding room easily. This newspaper published a detailed report highlighting the issue. Taking note, a signboard was put up outside the Shivneri waiting room informing about the Kaksh. The officials said that the room will be kept clean and the authorities at the platform have been notified to make a frequent announcement about the room.
