Six houses burgled in one night at Raje Sambhaji Colony in Harsul area
Aurangabad, May 27:
The theft incidents in the city have
increased. Thieves broke six houses at Raje Sambhajinagar in Harsul area on
Thursday wee hours and made off with gold jewellery weighing 7.5 tolas, 100
grams silver jewellery and Rs 1.45 lakh cash.
Dinesh Ramesh Mhaske and his wife
are teachers and residents of Raje Sambhajinagar. They had gone to their native
place at Khamgaon for the past 15 years. The thieves taking advantage of this
opportunity broke their house on Thursday at around 2.31 am and took away gold
jewellery weighing 2.5 tolas and Rs 3,000 cash.
Later, they went to the house of
Tushar Eknath Gajare, an private and had gone to Nimkhedi in Jalgaon as his
father was not well. They broke the lock of the door and took away gold
jewellery weighing 4.2 tolas, 62 grams silver jewellery.
The thieves also entered in the locked house of postman Dnyaneshwar Kasaram
Dangode but did not find anything there.
They later entered in the house of
Sanjay Bhimrao Shinde, who with his family members were sleeping on the
terrace. They took away stole 5 grams jewellery and Rs 1.12 lakh cash.
Similarly, they took Rs 30,000 cash and 3 grams gold jewel from the house of
Rameshwar Rustam Jadhav near Aaisaheb Chowk. They broke the house of Shejul but
did not find anything, the police said.
After receiving the information, DCP
Deepak Girhe, ACP Shashikant Bhujbal, PI Sachin Ingole, PSI Rafiq Shaikh,
Shivaji Shinde, Shaikh Shakeel visited and inspected the spots. The dog and the
finger print squads were also called. The dog chased till some distance but
could not go further. The finger print experts collected some samples.
