District Superintendent of Police Mokshada Patil was presented with ‘FICCI Smart Policing Award’ for implementing ‘Abhinna’ initiative to create awareness about gender equality among students of schools and college through sports.
Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICCI) presented the award to Mokshada Patil on Saturday.
Rural Police officers and employees were given special training to inculcate the rights and equality of men and women given in the Constitution among students and children through the project.
Police offices conducted the games from students to create awareness about how harmful is eve-teasing, road romeo, cybercrime, acid attack, domestic violence for society.
Police received a good response from students.
