Aurangabad, Jan 12:

MLC Satish Chavan who has won the Marathwada Graduates Constituency election for the third time will be felicitated in a programme to be held in Rukhmini Hall of MGM University, at 3.30 pm, on January 16.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, felicitation committee convener and Management Council member of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) Dr Rajesh Karpe said that senior NCP leader MP Supriya Sule would felicitate MLC Satish Chavan.

VC of Bamu Dr Pramod Yeole will preside over the ceremony. MLC Vikram Kale, MGM University chancellor Ankushrao Kadam, former mayor Nandkumar Ghodele will be the guests of honour. Dr Rajesh Karpe said that Chavan made hat-trick in the legislative council elections by winning with a margin of 57, 895 votes.

All COVID measures like social distance, sanitisation and wearing masks would be followed strictly.MC member Dr Phulchand Salampure, Senator Dr Ram Chavan, Dr Bharat Khairnar, Feroz Pathan, Dr Vilas Khandare, Dr Ghani Patel and others were present at the briefing.
