Aurangabad, April 29:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) administration could not unveil the theft of 48 Remdesivir injections from the Meltron Covid Hospital at Chikalthana area. There is no clue that where and how the injections were stolen, yet. Moreover, there administration is suspicious that the injections in the four boxes were replaced as it was kept in Meltron Hospital for four days. The administration has issued show cause notices to the officers and employees of the stores of the hospital. It is likely that some concrete information may gain after the reply of the notices on Friday, the sources said.

It was found that Remdesivir injections were replaced in the boxes with MPS Injections. However, the administration was ignorant about such a grave situation when the relatives of the Covid patients have to wander from place to place for Remdesivir injections.

The Meltron hospital on April 20 received 26 boxes of Remdesivir containing 1248 injections. On April 23, the pharmacist checked the boxes and found that there were MPS Injections instead of Remdesivir. The administration will have to search that who had replaced these injections. Meanwhile, five persons of the stores have been served the notices and have been asked to reply the notices, additional commissioner B B Nemane said.
