Aurangabad, Feb 26:

The local administrative machinery should take decision considering the second possible Corona wave. The health machinery in the city should not have much work load and hence, arrangements should be make to treat the patient of the rural areas there only, directed the district guardian minister, Subhash Desai here on Friday.

Desai took review of the Corona situation, patients and measures from the officers at a hotel on Jalna Road. He took information about the number of patients, number of beds, availability of Remidesvir injections from acting district collector Dr Anant Gavhane. Senior officers of the police department and AMC were also present.

Dr Gavhane said, the decision of the lockdown will be taken after considering the number of patients and as per the guidelines of the government. Presently, there is no decision of lockdown. Decision can be taken for half-day or for few hours lockdown but not for the entire day. The guardian minister has directed the local administration to gain control over the crowds at various places. The administration is prepared to tackle the situation. Impetus will be paid to home isolation and institutional quarantine, Dr Gavhane informed.
