Considering the advent of the third possible Corona wave, the government has issued strict guidelines to restrict the pandemic. Although the residents, traders are not satisfied with the restrictions, the administration is firm on its stand.

Presently, the positivity rate of the city is 0.89 percent. Moreover, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has now increased the tests, and around 2000 persons are being tested daily.

The experts have predicted that the third Corona wave will hit the country by the end of August. The state government has started taking measures to tackle the situation in advance. The corporation has established a small oxygen plant at Meltron Hospital, and one more plant is proposed here. Children’s Covid Care Centre is being established at the Garware Company premises, and one more centre is proposed at MGM area. A team of eight pediatricians has been prepared. Screaning teams are deployed at six entry points in the city. The passengers are being tested daily at Railway Station and Airport. A mobile team is testing the persons who came in contact with the infected person daily. The second Corona wave has receded in the past few days. Considering the danger to be raised by the possible third wave, around 2,000 people are being tested daily. Apart, the vaccination drive is also going on.
