Aurangabad, Oct 27:

As many as 1300 consumers staying in different localities around Cidco and Padegaon sustained a shock after the power supply in their houses disrupted due to various reasons today early morning.

The inconvenience was faced by 1100 consumers staying in Cidco and Cidco N-8 sector, while 200 consumers hail from the Padegaon area.

It so happened that the power supply of Nyayalaya Society, Ganesh Housing Society, Shri Colony, Raigadnagar etc. got disrupted today at 6 am. The supply got restored at 8.30 am. The residents complained of facing inconvenience due to the absence of power supply as they were unable to do important works without power. The residents got disappointed as the power supply again got disrupted at 1.30 pm.

In another incident, there was sparking in a 315 KV capacity transformer and supply cable in Kasambari Dargah (Padegaon) vicinity today at 2 pm. There were billows of smoke in the air. The residents were forced to stay without power till the evening.
