Aurangabad, March 3:

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) decided to conduct the undergraduate courses' examinations in both offline and online mode.

The first session examinations of different undergraduate courses for the academic year 2020-21 will commence from March 16 within the jurisdiction of Bamu.

Addressing a meeting of department heads on Tuesday, the director of Board of Examinations and Evaluation (BoEE) Dr Yogesh Patil said that the students would have a choice of online or offline examination this time.

“Those who opt for offline mode will get their college as examinations centre. The university cancelled the centre of some colleges.

The students of these colleges will be accommodated at other centres,” he said.

Dr Yogesh Patil said that the paper pattern would be what is prescribed for a course.

“Each question will carry two marks. There will be two sessions daily. The morning (10 am to 1 pm) and afternoon (2 pm to 5 pm) session will have three hours duration each for online students. The paper duration is of one hour, but three hours duration was given so that a student gets sufficient time if he faces any technical problem,” he said.

The administration set a committee of five officers for smoothly holding the examinations. Their names are deputy registrars Dr Ganesh Manza and Dr Pratap Kalawant, A M Patil, Rajendra Gangaurde and Mahendra Paithane.
