Update mobile number, get power service 'SMS'!, above 1 million consumers availing benefits in Aurangabad zone

Aurangabad, April 29: More than 11.5 lakh consumers in Aurangabad zone have registered their mobile numbers with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) to get details of electricity bill, technical breakdown or planned maintenance and repair due to power outage, meter reading, bill payment alerts via SMS. Chief Engineer Bhujang Khandare has appealed to all consumers to avail these services by contacting MSEDCL for new registration as well as changing the previously registered number.

Out of total 12.64 lakh electricity consumers of all categories in Aurangabad zone, 11.65 lakh have registered their mobile numbers. This includes 8.55 lakh consumers out of 9. 10 lakh in domestic, commercial, industrial and other categories (94 percent) and 3.10 lakh out of 3.54 lakh in agricultural pump category (87.53 per cent) consumers.

Mobile numbers of 92 per cent consumers of all categories such as residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and others in the zone are registered. However, consumers who want to change their mobile number, or register a new number, can call the toll free numbers 1912 or 1800-102-3435 and 1800-233-3435, which are open 24 hours a day or log on to https://pro.mahadiscom.in/ConsumerInfo/consumer.jsp or use MSEDCL mobile app.
