Aurangabad, Oct 13:

Cash, mobile phone and gold jewellery of two and a half tolas were stolen from a house at New Shantiniketan on Monday night.

According to details, father-in-law of Sandeep Chhagan Dabhade (New Shantiniketan) passed away a few days ago.

So, his wife and children went to her parents'' house. Dabhade had done to sleep in the bedroom after having dinner on October 12.

Thieves entered the house by breaking mosquito net of the window. They made off with cash of Rs 20,000, a necklace of two and a half tolas, mangalsutra of Rs 6,000 and mobile phone of Rs 7,300 kept in iron and wood cupboards. The thieves kept the door open of room.

The incident came to light when Dabhade woke up at 7 am today.

On receiving information, police inspector of Jawaharnagar Police Station Santosh Patil and other officers and employees rushed the spot. A case was registered with Jawaharnagar Police Station.
