Vehicle registration picks up from August

Aurangabad, Oct 14: The automobile market was hit hard by the outbreak of Covid-19. But as public life has returned to normal, new vehicle registrations have picked up since August. Over 3,000 vehicles are being registered at the RTO office every month.

In the four months from April to July this year, only 4,797 new vehicles were registered at the RTO office. These 4 months were the period of onset of corona outbreak. This affected vehicle sales. But in July, the state government announced the unlock. As a result, the tendency of citizens towards vehicle purchase increased. "From August, the vehicle registrations have boomed significantly as compared to April-July," said regional transport office. Sanjay Metrewar.

Sales for the year 2019

During the four months from April to July 2019, 24,476 new vehicles of all types were registered. Similarly, there were 4,049 vehicles registered in August, 3,933 in September and 6,531 in October.

Sales for the year 2020

During the four months from April to July 2020, only 4,797 new vehicles of all types were registered. This was followed by 3,119 vehicles registered in August and 3,842 in September.
