Virgaon police station ranked 3rd

Virgaon Police Station, under Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Rural Police, has been recognized as the third-best police station in Maharashtra for its exceptional law enforcement efforts. Former in-charge API Sharadchandra Rodge was felicitated by CM Fadnavis for this remarkable achievement at the crime conference in Mumbai on Sunday.

At the central level, the top five police stations in the state were identified based on crime detection, case resolution, conviction rates, administrative efficiency and public relations. In 2022, committees were formed to evaluate police stations, and Virgaon Police Station stood out for its effective handling of serious crimes and overall police administration. For this outstanding performance, Virgaon Police Station secured the third rank in Maharashtra, and API Rodge was honoured with a Rs 50,000 cash prize along with the Best Police Station (Third Rank) Award for 2022.
