Most of the trains passing through Aurangabad railway station have started again after the lockdown. However, the wait of the Nandigram Express operated on Mumbai to Nagpur route continues. Moreover, barring Hyderabad Passenger Train, all the other passenger trains have still not started yet, due to which daily commuters have faced severe inconvenience. The passengers have demanded that the Nandigram Express and other passengers should be started at the earliest. In the first Corona wave, all the trains were closed. After the wave receded, the Express trains were started but the passenger trains were not started. In the second Corona wave, the passengers' response was lukewarm. The trains have started again regularly, but Nandigram Express and the passenger trains have not started. The daily commuters using passenger trains have to use state transport buses or private buses and personal vehicles.Presently, Sachkhand, Deogiri, Janshatabdi, Tapovan, Ajanta, Reniguntha, and Marathwada Express trains are running on regular basis. Similarly, the wait for Nandigram Express and passenger trains including Kachiguda - Nagarsol, Nizamabad - Pune, Nanded - Daund, Jalna - Nagarsol, and Nanded - Nagarsol trains still continues.
