Young man dies after crashing into streetlight pole

A two-wheeler lost balance and crashed into a streetlight pole while two friends were looking towards the hills.

In the accident, Pradeep Laxman Pimple (30, resident of Pir Pimpalgaon, Jalna) died on the spot. The incident occurred on Sunday evening at 6:30 PM near the SRPF bridge on the Solapur-Dhule highway.

Pradeep and his friend, Syed Shoaib, had visited a hospital on the city outskirts for hair treatment. After the treatment, they were returning towards Jalna on their bike. Around 6:30 PM, near the SRPF camp, they lost control of the vehicle, which hit a roadside barrier. Due to the high speed, Pradeep was flung forward and crashed into a streetlight pole, suffering a severe head injury that led to his instant death.

Both Pradeep and Shoaib worked together in the flooring business. Shoaib sustained injuries in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city, according to Satara Police Station officer Vishnu Jagdale.
