Aurangabad, April 26:

The health section of Zilla Parishad has prepared a road map for proper utilisation of the Covid-19 vaccine during the implementation of the vaccination drive in the rural sector of the district. The officials hope that they would be able to complete the target of the first dose of vaccine by May 10, if the supply of vaccine is made to them in time. The vaccination drive has not crossed the figure of 20 percent in the rural sector.

It may be noted that the population of the rural sector is more than the urban sector then also the supply of vaccines is less to them compared to the urban sector. Hence they could achieve only 20 pc of the given target.

Meanwhile, 51 primary health centers, 239 primary health sub-centers, sub-district hospitals and rural hospitals, nine hospitals (on panel), and seven other hospitals are waiting for permissions to administer the vaccine. If a total of 40,000 vaccines is administered through 400 such places daily then it would be possible to achieve the 100 percent target of the vaccination in 20 days, mentioned the ZP health officials.
