Surat (Gujarat) [India], January 13:Over one lakh devotees participated in the yatra that began at Panchdevalaya Mahadev temple in Dindoli's Millennium Park and culminated at Vedant City in Kharwasa, the venue of the katha.

Surat: A grand Kalash Yatra was organised in Surat on Monday in the run up to the historic Shiv Mahapuran Katha, slated to take place Vedant City in Kharwasa, Surat, from January 16 to 22. The grand yatra, organised by Sunil Patil, Samrat Patil and Shri Sai Leela Group, saw lakhs of devotees join in, creating a divine atmosphere.

Organisers Sunil Patil and Samrat Patil shared that the unprecedented Shiv Mahapuran Katha is set to be a divine and historic celebration of devotion and spirituality. It has been organised under the guidance of internationally renowned spiritual leader Pandit Pradeep Mishra of Sinhor at Vedant City, Kharwasa. The grand katha is expected to attract more than 20 lakh devotees.

To mark the occasion, a grand Kalash Yatra was organised on Monday. The procession started at 10:00 am from Panchdevalay Mahadev Temple in Millennium Park, Dindoli, and concluded at Vedant City, the venue of the katha. Lakhs of devotees joined the yatra voluntarily. Various city-based Lezim groups, bhajan mandalis, DJs and bands also participated, making the event even more vibrant. Devotees were served Mahaprasad at the venue following conclusion of the yatra.

The Shri Sai Leela Group is organising this historic event from January 16 to 22, under the divine guidance of Pandit Pradeep Mishra. Extensive preparations are underway to ensure a grand experience for the devotees.

55-foot trident and 12 Jyotirlinga darshan

Sunil Patil and Samrat Patil shared that arrangements have been made to provide devotees with the opportunity to witness the 12 Jyotirlingas at one location during the katha. A 55-foot-tall trident was unveiled at the Katha venue today, and replicas of the 12 Jyotirlingas are also being constructed at the site.
