Former Pakistani captain Babar Azam has been struggling with his bat. He has been unable to score in the last several matches, which has seen his numbers drop across all formats. Babar's ODI format is one of the best, but he has suffered a noticeable decline. Since the start of the 2023 Asia Cup, he has averaged 42.90 in 25 games, bringing his career average down from nearly 59 to the mid-50s.
In the ongoing final match of the ODI-tri series against New Zealand in Karachi, Babar scored 29 runs after facing 34 balls, including four 4s and one 6. Babar Azam's fans are disappointed with his performance ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025.
One of the disappointed Pakistani fans suggested that South African cricket coach and former cricketer Herschelle Gibbs give some tips to the former Pakistan skipper as he was unable to score for the team in the last match against South Africa in the ongoing ODI tri-series.

"Hey Gibbs, How about giving some suggestions to Babar Azam like you did back in 2021/2022 during PSL with Karachi Kings? I guess he won't deny your interference this time," a fan named Sameel Khan commented on X (formerly Known as Twitter).
Responding to the comment, Gibbs mocked Babar's English. Gibbs has worked closely with Babar during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as the head coach of Karachi Kings. The former African cricketer said that Babar has a language barrier and struggles to speak and understand English.
"Language is an issue with Babar .. as you know his English isn’t great so it’s difficult to get points across to him," Gibbs wrote on X.
