Rohit Sharma set a significant record during the first match against Bangladesh in the 2025 Champions Trophy. Chasing a target of 229 runs, he scored 41 runs off 36 balls, including four fours. Although he fell short of a half-century, he reached the 11,000-run milestone, becoming the second-fastest player in ODI history to do so.

In the match held in Dubai, Rohit became the fourth Indian and the tenth player globally to surpass 11,000 runs in ODIs, joining the ranks of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Sourav Ganguly.

Rohit achieved this milestone in his 261st innings, making him the second fastest, with Virat Kohli leading the list at 222 innings.
