India's triumph in the Champions Trophy has been reflected in the latest ICC ODI rankings, with several key players from the team making notable gains. On March 12, the updated rankings saw India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, surge two places to reclaim the No. 3 spot in the ICC ODI batting rankings. This improvement allowed him to surpass Virat Kohli and Heinrich Klaasen. Shubman Gill continues to lead the rankings with 784 points, followed by Babar Azam in second place, while Rohit Sharma trails him by just 28 points.

Despite a lackluster performance in the Champions Trophy, Pakistan's Babar Azam retained his position at No. 2. Virat Kohli, who scored 218 runs during the Champions Trophy — the second-highest for India after Shreyas Iyer's 243 — dropped a spot to No. 5. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell climbed one spot to No. 6, and Shreyas Iyer held onto his place in the top 10, contributing crucial middle-order performances throughout the tournament. KL Rahul, though slipping one spot to No. 16, maintained his place within the top 20.

In the bowling rankings, Sri Lanka's Maheesh Theekshana remained at the top, while India’s Kuldeep Yadav made a significant jump. After a stellar performance in the Champions Trophy, where he claimed seven wickets, Kuldeep rose three spots to No. 3 with 650 points. His crucial wickets of Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson in the final were key moments in India's victory over New Zealand. Meanwhile, New Zealand's Mitchell Santner, who took nine wickets during the tournament, rose six places to No. 2 in the ODI bowling rankings.
