In the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, India won the final match by 4 wickets and defeated New Zealand. Fans in Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi are celebrating India's victory by bursting firecrackers, dancing, and waving the Indian National flag at India Gate.

India won the Champions Trophy on Sunday in Dubai after defeating New Zealand by four wickets. India pulled down New Zealand's 252-run goal with six balls remaining, aided by an unbeaten 34 from KL Rahul and a 48 from Shreyas Iyer in addition to a strong 76 from captain Rohit Sharma. Congratulating Team India for this victory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on X that he is proud of the team for bringing the trophy home this year.
He posted, "An exceptional game and an exceptional result! Proud of our cricket team for bringing home the ICC Champions Trophy. They’ve played wonderfully through the tournament. Congratulations to our team for the splendid all around display."
India has now won three ICC Champions Trophy titles, including one with Sri Lanka in 2002 and other with 'Captain Cool' MS Dhoni in 2013.
