The much awaited IPL mini auction for season 17 is all set to commence today in Dubai at the coco-cola arena at 1pm. For the very first time, the auction will be held overseas. The 10 franchises last month confirmed the list of players they have retained and released ahead of the auction. This time  around a total of 333 players from across the globe are up for grabs.  The 10 teams have retained a combined 173 players leaving 77 vacant slots. The teams have a combined budget of Rs 262.95 crore at their disposal. Out of the 77 slots, at most 30 can be taken by overseas players.
