Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has created a new history by bowling brilliantly against the Lucknow Super Giants led by Pant. In the match against Lucknow, he took five wickets along with Pant. With this achievement, he has set a new record in IPL. He has become the first captain in the history of IPL to take five wickets. No other captain in the history of IPL has been able to do such a feat.

Hardik Pandya had taken the wickets of Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant, and Aiden Markham in the first three overs. When he came to bowl the last over for Mumbai Indians, he had also reached the hat-trick. In his personal fourth and the last over of Lucknow's innings, Pandya completed his five-wicket haul by taking the wickets of David Miller and Akash Deep.
