After a tough start, RCB recovered with a strong middle order. Phil Salt fell early in the first over, but Virat Kohli (67) and Devdutt Padikkal (37) put up a 91-run stand for the second wicket. Kohli and Padikkal hammered the ball across the park, setting the tone for a big total. Skipper Rajat Patidar also contributed with a quickfire 64. Patidar added 48 runs with Kohli and then paired with Jitesh Sharma (40*) to add 69 runs for the fifth wicket. RCB posted an imposing total of 221 runs. Mumbai's chase got off to a poor start with Rohit Sharma (17) and Ryan Rickelton (17) dismissed early, leaving MI at 38 for 2. Will Jacks (22) and Suryakumar Yadav (28) tried to rebuild, adding 41 runs for the third wicket. However, Mumbai’s middle order faltered, and the team was reduced to 99 for 4. Tilak Varma (56) and Hardik Pandya (42) then launched a fightback with a rapid 89-run partnership off just 34 balls. Their aggressive hitting brought MI back into the game, but both players fell within three balls of each other. Needing 19 runs off the last over, Krunal Pandya picked up three quick wickets to seal RCB’s 12-run victory.
