India captain Rohit Sharma recently took a much-needed break in the Maldives after leading his team to victory in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The star batter shared glimpses of his vacation on social media, posting pictures from a beachside resort on Holi, March 14, alongside his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira.

However, Rohit’s return to India wasn’t as smooth. Upon landing at Mumbai airport, the cricketer appeared visibly irritated with paparazzi waiting to capture his arrival. In a video shared online, his daughter could be seen trying to hide behind him, visibly uncomfortable with the attention. Rohit appeared irritated and was heard repeatedly saying, “Kya kar rahe ho?” (What are you doing?).

The cricketer gave a stern look to the photographers and asked them to make way for his daughter to get into the car safely. Only after ensuring his daughter’s comfort did he briefly pose for the cameras.

While most players have already reported to their Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, a few members of the Champions Trophy-winning squad opted for short breaks before the high-octane season. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja have joined their respective teams, but Rohit and Virat Kohli are yet to start their pre-season preparations.

Mumbai Indians open their IPL 2025 campaign against Chennai Super Kings on March 23 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
