In a remarkable display of new talent, Pakistani latest opening batters Hasan Nawaz and Mohammad Haris have made history by achieving the highest powerplay score for Pakistan in T20 Internationals on Friday, March 21.
During the third T20 match against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland, Hasan Nawaz showcased his batting prowess by scoring a half-century in just 27 balls, marking a significant comeback after struggling in his first two matches against the Kiwis. At the time of writing this article, Nawaz scored 97 off just 43 balls.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also celebrated the team's highest score in the first 10 overs in white ball format. Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) PBC said "This is Pakistan's highest score at the 10-over mark of a T20I innings. Hasan Nawaz leads the belligerent charge."
