He became the second-fastest Indian to score an IPL century, reaching the milestone in 39 balls. Only Yusuf Pathan’s 37-ball hundred in 2010 remains ahead. Priyansh Arya is a young attacking opener from Delhi. He was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 3.8 crore in the IPL mega auction and made his IPL debut in the 2025 season opener against Gujarat Titans. He quickly became known for his aggressive batting.
He caught attention after becoming the leading run-scorer in the inaugural Delhi Premier League (DPL) tournament, where he scored 608 runs in ten innings for South Delhi Superstarz. Arya gained further recognition in the DPL when he hit six consecutive sixes for South Delhi Superstarz against North Delhi Strikers.During the 2023-24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Arya stood out as Delhi's top run-scorer, amassing 222 runs across seven innings at an average of 31.71 and a strike rate of 166.91.
