Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 24th match of IPL 2025 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday, April 10. DC made one change to their playing XI, with Faf du Plessis returning to the side in place of Sameer Rizvi. RCB, on the other hand, made no changes to their squad for the match. Both teams enter the match on the back of impressive wins. RCB secured their first victory at Wankhede Stadium against Mumbai Indians (MI) after a strong all-round performance. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals have won three consecutive matches and remain the only unbeaten team in the tournament.
Team Changes and Captains' Remarks
RCB captain Rajat Patidar said, "We would have loved to chase, but the surface looks hard. We'll look to put up a good total and defend it. I always back my instincts, but I do plan as well. It's important to win home matches and maintain momentum." Patidar confirmed there were no changes to the playing XI.
DC captain Axar Patel mentioned, "We will bowl first. My fingers are fine, and I will bowl all four overs if needed. Faf is fit and in, and Sameer Rizvi is out." Patel highlighted the importance of spinners and fast bowlers in the match, saying, "The spinners will have a role here, but fast bowlers can also take wickets. We have two good leg-spinners and some defensive options, so we'll adjust based on the match situation."
