Left-arm pacer Reece Topley has been signed by the Mumbai Indians for INR 75 lakh at the Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction. The addition of Topley strengthens Mumbai’s pace attack as the franchise aims to reclaim the title in the upcoming season.

Mumbai Indians, the five-time IPL champions, have also retained key players including Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma. The team has bolstered its bowling lineup with the re-signing of New Zealand pacer Trent Boult for INR 12.5 crore and the inclusion of Deepak Chahar for INR 9.25 crore.

Topley, known for his accuracy and variations, joins a revamped squad that includes experienced players like Mitchell Santner and young talents like Allah Ghazanfar and Naman Dhir. Mumbai Indians have put together a balanced team with a mix of proven performers and promising newcomers.

With Topley’s addition, the team hopes to add more firepower to its bowling unit under the leadership of Hardik Pandya and guidance from head coach Mahela Jayawardene.
