India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah reacted after Coldplay’s Chris Martin mentioned his name during the band’s concert in Mumbai on Saturday. Bumrah posted on Instagram saying, "This made me smile! Incredible vibe at the @coldplay concert in Mumbai and even more special to be mentioned."

While performing, Martin humorously mentioned Bumrah, saying the show should be paused to accommodate the Indian pacer. "Hold on, we have to finish the show because Jasprit Bumrah wants to come and play backstage," Martin joked, adding, "He says he needs to bowl at me now." The crowd cheered as Martin chanted Bumrah's name and remarked, "We'll ask him to wait 15 minutes."

Bumrah, who was sidelined due to a back spasm during the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, had missed the last day of the series in Sydney. He had a standout performance in Australia, taking 32 wickets in five Tests and becoming the fourth-fastest player to reach 200 Test wickets.

Bumrah was named in India’s 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy. His participation in the 50-over tournament will depend on his fitness.
