Former India captain Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma, were spotted at Mumbai airport following the conclusion of India’s ODI series against England. The couple was seen exiting the airport and boarding a car. Kohli, dressed casually in a cap, loose T-shirt, and sneakers, carried a small bag on his shoulders.
India will soon travel to Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. They are set to begin their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20, followed by key matches against Pakistan on February 23 and New Zealand on March 2.
Kohli’s Recent Form and Champions Trophy Record
After missing the first ODI against England and failing to score in the second, Kohli returned to form with a crucial half-century in the third ODI in Ahmedabad. He scored 52 runs off 55 balls, including seven fours and a six, at a strike rate of 94.55. His performance will boost his confidence as India prepares for the Champions Trophy.
Kohli has played in three editions of the tournament – 2009, 2013, and 2017 – scoring 529 runs in 13 matches at an average of 88.16. He has registered five half-centuries, with his highest score being an unbeaten 96.
In the 2013 edition, which India won, Kohli played a key role by scoring 176 runs at an average of 58.66. His best performance came in 2017 when he amassed 258 runs in five matches at an average of 129.00. He remains the highest run-scorer among the current Indian squad in Champions Trophy history, with Rohit Sharma following at 481 runs.
