Virat Kohli has emerged as India's most favorite cricketer in a recent survey conducted by India Today-CVoter. The "Mood of the Nation" (MOTN) survey, conducted between January 2 and February 9, 2025, analyzed responses from 1,25,123 people across all 543 Lok Sabha constituencies.
According to the survey, Kohli secured the top spot as India's most admired cricketer. Former captain MS Dhoni ranked second, followed by Rohit Sharma in third place. Shubman Gill and current T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra was named India's most popular athlete outside cricket. He won a gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and secured a silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Chopra has brought several accolades to India through his performances in various international events.
