Star leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has joined Punjab Kings' training sessions ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Chahal, who was released by Rajasthan Royals before the mega auction, became the most expensive spinner in IPL history after Punjab Kings secured him for ₹18 crore.
Chahal was recently seen attending the Champions Trophy 2025 final alongside RJ Mahvash. His appearance came after reports surfaced that he and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, had filed for divorce in Mumbai.
With his ₹18 crore deal, Chahal surpassed Wanindu Hasaranga as the most expensive spinner in IPL history. The Sri Lankan leg-spinner was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹10.75 crore in 2022.
