Virat Kohli needs 146 runs to complete 8000 runs in Tests. He became the sixth Indian batsman to score 8,000 runs in a Test.

Ajinkya Rahane will also need 137 runs to complete 5,000 runs in the Tests. As soon as Rahane scores 13 runs in the second Test, he will overtake Mahendra Singh Dhoni (4876).

Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant became the fourth Indian wicketkeeper to complete a century of Test catches after taking four catches. Mahendra Singh Dhoni (256), Syed Kirmani (160) and Kiran More (110) are leading the way. Rishabh takes 100 fastest wickets in Centurion Test.

R Ashwin will need just five wickets to move up to the second position among the Indian bowlers who have taken the most wickets in Tests. He is third with 429 wickets, while Kapil Dev has 434 wickets. Anil Kumble has taken 619 wickets.
