The Indian team suffered a humiliating defeat once again today. Team India has lost against New Zealand in ICC tournaments, since 2003 India has not won a single match against New Zealand and that is what has happened this time also. India scored only 110 runs for the loss of 7 wickets and New Zealand easily crossed the target.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first. Team India experimented with Ishan Kishan and Lokesh Rahul but failed. Rohit Sharma hasn't done anything special. Skipper Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant gave wickets under pressure.

New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell was bowled out for 49 by Team India. Ken Williamson remained unbeaten on 33 and Martin Guptill on 20. Jaspreet Bumrah took both the wickets for India.

Group 2 situation: Opportunity for Team India to reach the semi-finals.

Pakistan has secured its place in the semi-finals with three wins, six points, and a net run rate of 0.638. Yesterday's match was crucial for second place and New Zealand maintained their challenge by winning the toss. But, Afghans are also on their way.

Afghanistan has won two of the three matches and secured the second position with 4 points and a 3.097 net run rate. Therefore, the future of Team India depends on the future performance of Afghanistan. Afghanistan will now face New Zealand and Team India in the remaining two matches

The future math of Team India

India will now have to win the remaining matches against Afghanistan, Scotland, and Namibia by 80+, 100+ and 100+ runs respectively to secure their position.

If Afghanistan beat New Zealand on November 7 and New Zealand beat Scotland and Namibia by 50+ runs then there will be difficulties for team India.
