Kannada actor Ragini Dwivedi, who was arrested in the Sandalwood drugs racket on September 4, mixed water in her urine sample and handed it over to the doctors who were conducting a drug test on her. According to a India Today report, the former beauty queen was later on made to give another sample for testing. The news report by India Today further states that the medical staff found out that Ragini Dwivedi had mixed her urine sample with water in order to get inaccurate test results. The news report further adds that the authorities have also taken samples of Ragini Dwivedi's hair follicles in the drug case.
The report states that the sample of the actor's hair follicles can determine whether or not she has consumed drugs. The news report by India Today states that the Central Crime Branch (CCB) will be taking note of this incident while they argue against the actor's bail plea. The news reports state that Ragini Dwivedi's bail plea will be heard on September 14. The CCB will bring to light how the actress gave a tampered urine sample. The news reports further goes on to mention that the actress has been throwing a lot of tantrums after she was taken into custody.
Ragini is the first mainstream actor who has been nabbed by the police in the Kannada drug racket out of 15 others who were named in the case. The actor is believed to have procured MDMA pills and other drugs from her close friend BK Ravi Shankar and a foreigner named Simon. The actor’s WhatsApp message sent to the African peddler was retrieved by the CCB in which she had asked for ‘one more gram’. The search for Simon is currently on.Another Kannada actor named Sanjjanaa Galrani was also nabbed by the CCB and taken for a drug test. However, she refused to take the test and threw tantrums at the hospital.
