Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan have wrapped the filming of his upcoming movie Atrangi Re. Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress shares a handful of never-before-seen photos with her leading men from the film sets. Along with the photos, Sara also penned notes of love and gratitude to her director Aanand L Rai, Dhanush and Akshay. To her director, she wrote, “Thank you so much @aanandlrai sir for giving me this role, this film and this opportunity. But more than that thank you for your unconditional love, unwavering support, the best India darshan, delicious khana, early morning sunrise drives to location, sufi ginger water evenings, and the most memorable year with the best team.”

Sara, who will romance Dhanush for the first time on-screen, didn’t just thank the South superstar for guiding her through the film, but even for treating her to mouth-watering South Indian delicacies. “@dhanushkraja thank you for always being helpful, motivating and inspiring. Couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this journey and yes thank you for introducing me to your amazing music and mouth-watering varieties of South Indian food (even though we could’ve avoided that indulgence during shoots),” she quipped in her post.Last, but not least, she also extended her note of love and admiration to Akshay, who will feature in an extended cameo in the film. “And thank you so much @akshaykumar sir for bringing so much love, laughter, energy and positivity on our set and sorry for stalking you for photos in all our costumes sir,” Sara wrote and signed off with a purple heart emoticon.

Akki who essays a key role in the film, also took to Instagram to share the news about the wrap of the film. "It’s the last day of #AtrangiRe and I can’t wait for you’ll to experience the magic created by @aanandlrai," he said. The actor also thanked his co-stars in the post. "Also a big thank you to my co-stars @saraalikhan95 and @dhanushkraja for letting me be a part of this beautiful film." In the picture, Akshay dons a magician's hat and a black jacket with red and cream embroidery done on it. He holds the King card from a pack of playing cards and poses for the camera. Atrangi Re went on floors in early 2020 but the shoot came to a halt owing to the pandemic. The team got back on the sets after the lockdown restrictions were eased a bit and the team managed to complete their shoot in December. Since then, Akshay has gone on to shoot for his next film 'Bachchan Pandey' while Dhanush has jetted out to the USA to shoot for his Hollywood project, 'The Gray Man'. The film is slated to release in August 2021.
