First two parts of Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa did massive collection on both national and international box-office. Producer Ravi Shankar announced Sunday that 'Pushpa 3: The Rampage' is targeted for a 2028 release, earlier than anticipated. While Allu Arjun is currently committed to projects with Atlee and Trivikram Srinivas, Shankar assured that production delays experienced with 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' will not affect the third installment.
Speaking at a 'Robinhood' media event, Shankar stated the team aims for a quicker turnaround, targeting a three-year production timeline. Although 'Pushpa 3' was hinted at in 'Pushpa 2's' end credits, this marks the producer's first official confirmation of the film's development.
While Sukumar directs Ram Charan in his next film, a project expected to take at least two years, he plans to revisit the "Pushpa" universe afterward. Released in December last year, "Pushpa 2," starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, became the highest-grossing Indian film domestically, earning Rs 1,234.1 crore in India and Rs 1,742.1 crore globally.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda is rumoured to be the top contender for the next "Pushpa" villain, potentially leading to a high-voltage showdown with Allu Arjun. Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil are expected to return, further developing the franchise.

Speculation began after a 2024 tweet where Deverakonda shared a photo with director Sukumar, hinting at his involvement in the "Pushpa" universe.
