Amaal Mallik’s Mother Jyothi Mallik Reacts to His Depression and Family Rift Allegations
Amaal Mallik who is also music producer just like his brother Armaan Mallik, recently making headlines after his Instagram post went viral. In his post music prouder revealed that his is struggling with clinical depression and his strained relationship with his family and parents Daboo Malik and Jyothi Malik.
Amaal publicly accused his family of hindering his progress and causing a divide with his brother, Armaan Malik. When reached for comment, his mother, Jyothi Mallik, exclusively told us, "I don’t think you (media) need to be involved in all this. Whatever he has put is his choice. I am sorry. Thank you."
Amaal’s latest Instagram post sent shockwaves through the industry as he publicly announced his decision to cut ties with his family. In a heartfelt message, he wrote, “I’ve reached a point where I can no longer stay silent about the pain I’ve endured. For years, I’ve been made to feel like I am less—despite toiling day and night to build a safe life for those around me. I sacrificed every dream of mine, only to be spoken down to and questioned about my worth. I have poured my blood, sweat, and tears into creating each of the 126 melodies I have released over the last decade.”
The musician also opened up about his battle with clinical depression, revealing, “Today, I find myself robbed of my peace, emotionally drained, and perhaps financially as well but that is the least of my concerns. What truly matters is that I am clinically depressed because of these circumstances. While I hold myself accountable for my actions, my self-worth has been shattered countless times by those closest to me, stealing pieces of my soul.”
