Mumbai, Dec 5 Amitabh Bachchan recently silenced a troll who criticized Abhishek Bachchan for speaking in English, suggesting he should only use Hindi as they couldn’t understand the language.

The veteran actor addressed the comment after resharing a video of Abhishek speaking in English. Big B reshared the video of his son and praised his performance in “I Want To Talk.”

An X user wrote, “Sir ji Hindi me bolne ko kaho Jr Bachchan ji ko. English hamari samaj me barobar nahi aati sirji.” (Sir please ask Jr Bachchan to speak in Hindi. I don’t fully understand English, sir).” In turn, Amitabh gave a befitting reply, “Wow! What a viewpoint you have! Amazing! You tell him to speak in Hindi, but you write in English!”

The 'Sholay' actor penned an appreciation note for his son Abhishek’s performance in his latest film, “I Want To Talk.”

Amitabh wrote, “Profound and filled with merit .. your humanity and your departure from any vanity as an actor in I Want To Talk, is what makes you superior. With God’s grace, the blessings of Grandpa and Grandma, and the love and affection of the entire family, always! Goodness brings good results! And you are very good.”

The ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ actor has been actively promoting Abhishek’s latest film across all his social media platforms. The proud father even expressed his admiration through a heartfelt blog post, writing, “I smile today and with pride and great emotion for the Son and my Abhishek for his work .. assiduous, tremendous joy...”

In his post, Amitabh reflected on the significance of embracing individuality and 'being different.'

An excerpt from his post read, “Ultimately, being different appeals because it challenges the status quo, fosters innovation, and creates connections. It’s not just about standing out but about making an impactful difference in the world. You shall be, Abhishek, because of who you are and who you have been—a creative mind that has ever attempted and succeeded in what you created and believed in your work. Love to you, Abhishek. WAGTFTW.”

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, "I Want To Talk" was released on November 22.
