While talking to Bollywood Bubble Ankit confirmed opting out of the show, stating that he is 'not ready' for it right now. He said,'Yes I backed out of the project with Ravie and Sargun. I don’t think that I would be able to do something for that project right now. And maybe I need some time for myself to rejuvenate and recharge myself.''

The actor confirms he's not participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 this year and regrets not waiting longer before doing Bigg Boss. He explains that after Udaariyaan, he signed Junooniyatt but had a three-to-four-month gap before its start. Faced with a short-term project versus travel, his work-oriented mindset led him to accept Colors' keen offer to join Bigg Boss.
