Bollywood actor and producer Arjun Rampal in a social media post slammed the long queues outside liquor shops. The Moksha actor  posted a video of police officers trying to manage a crowd, supposedly outside a liquor shop. Slamming the queue Arjun wrote, “Please stop this. Outside liquor stores, as they have been opened. I urge the government to please stop this immediately. This is absolute chaos and there is no level of discipline being maintained, or any kind of social distancing. These guys deserve a thrashing, not drinking. #badmove #stopliquormenace” In the past celebs like Javed Akhtar, Raveena Tandon, Kapil Sharma and Karan Wahi slammed the government's decision of re-opening liquor shops in the country.

Arjun Rampal is currently stationed away from the city, at his Karjat residence with Gabriella Demetriades and their son Arik. The actor had revealed that he was shooting in Karjat when the lockdown was announced and hence he decided to stay back with family at his lavish abode there instead of returning to Mumbai. The model turned actor has been quite active on social media spreading awareness about the COVID-19 through his micro-blogging site.
