'Bigg Boss 14' faces boycott calls after video of female contestants seducing Sidharth Shukla goes viral
The 14th season of Bigg Boss has hit a new low after a video of female contestants seducing Siddharth Shukla was aired on national television. In order to get immunity, contestants Nikki Tamboli, Pavitra Punia, Rubina Dilaik and Jasmin Bhasin were required to do a task where they had to woo and seduce Bigg Boss 13’s winner and now a senior in the show, Sidharth Shukla. Watching the clip, a number of people took to Internet to express their shock and display at what they saw as a vulgar display on national television. As part of the task, the contestants got a tattoo done by Sidharth and later as he took to a bike, they cleaned it.

the kinda "moves" the women were doing were cheap! The man wasn't even comfortable with all that! People would have dragged the man if he had kissed the girl but since it was the other way round, ppl are like "its okay its just a task"! HELL NO!#BoycottBB14

Leave EVERYTHING aside, will y'all be comfortable if a woman is seated, and 4 men seduce her like that? No right? Then why these double standards. He doesn't even look comfortable #BoycottBB14

It’s high time that Bigg Boss must be boycotted. The last season they promoted violence and this season vulgarity. @BiggBoss don’t you think it is your responsibility to promote the good stuffs?!! Especially when you are watched by a good portion of audience #BOYCOTTBB14

While another tweeted, ".@ColorsTV we witness so many rape cases every day and this is what you are promoting? objectifying women on NTV for a "task"? Its time that we should raise our voice against it and #BoycottBB14." One of the users, Asjad Nazir wrote, “Putting raunchy scenes into #BiggBoss14 and objectifying the female contestants is stupid and unnecessary, especially in the current climate in India where attacks on women are on the rise. Just saw one promo and it made me sick.”Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Sidharth Shukla, along with Hina Khan and Gauhar Khan, has entered the Bigg boss as the seniors. Bigg Boss will air Monday-Friday at 10.30 pm and Saturday-Sunday at 9 pm on Colors. It will be available before TV exclusively on Voot Select.
