The third season of the reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam, which is currently being aired, will be extended by two more weeks as per reports in the media. The decision to extend the show was taken due to the  sudden surge in the Covid-19 cases in Kerala. The show has currently completed 89 glorious days and now the run time will be 114 days. The third season of the Bigg Boss Malayalam 3 premiered on 14 February 2021 with 14 contestants entering the house. 

Mohanlal has returned as the host of the show for the third time in a row. Speaking about Mohanlal, the superstar, is currently busy with his directorial debut Baroz.  Lal's directorial debut, was launched in a grand event which was attended by Mollywood celebrities including Prithviraj and Mammootty. It is anticipated that Mohanlal will play the role of a man guarding an ancient treasure belonging to D’Gama and waiting for the rightful heir to hand it over to. When he announced the film, Tovino Thomas, and Amitabh Bachchan and send their best wishes.
