#BoycottThappad trends on Twitter as netizens wants Taapsee Pannu's film banned
Taapsee Pannu is someone who is always known to voice her opinion on social media and looks like her outspoken nature has landed her in trouble. Netizens across social media want her latest release Thappad banned for Taapsee's involvement in an anti-CAA protest. The actress had joined a peaceful protest near Carter Road in Mumbai, supporting students of Jawaharlal Nehru University in January, who were attacked by a masked mob in January.
Several netizens compared her move to that of Deepika Padukone, who stood in solidarity with the students in Delhi. While speaking about CAA, Taapsee had told IANS, "I haven't expressed my views on CAA because I haven't studied about it. But the visuals which I saw in Jamia, I didn't feel those were pleasant. I felt really sad when I saw the videos where students were talking about their plight. I feel something big has happened or something big is going to happen.” Check out some of the tweets by netizens here....

They use national issues for the promotion of their movies. They have to understand the sensitivity of the issue.#ShameOnBollywood#boycottthappadpic.twitter.com/GStiinCXR5
