Actor Sooraj Pancholi want the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take over investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The Satellite Shankar star, took to social media to saying that the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s family ‘should the closure they need.' Pancholi added that SSR’s family and world need to know ‘what actually happened'. "I really pray and hope that Sushant's family get the closure they need! They really deserve a proper CBI investigation, It has been a long battle for them already! They need to know what actually happened, and the World needs to know too! #CBIForSSR," Sooraj wrote.
Sooraj who was dragged in the Sushant Singh Rajput case had earlier filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police over reports which linked him to the late actor's death case. In the complaint registered at Versova Police Station, Pancholi claimed that he is being defamed on various social media platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Earlier this month, Pancholi had denounced reports claiming his connection with Disha Salian and Sushant's death. Sooraj's mother Zarina Wahab earlier denied rumours linking her son with Sushant Rajput's death.
Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, was found hanging at his apartment in suburban Bandra on June 14. The news of Sushant’s death came six days after his former manager, Disha Salian (28), allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a building in Malad area.The statements of over 50 people have been recorded by the Mumbai Police in connection with Sushant’s death. The father of Kai Po Che actor had on July 25 filed an FIR against six people, including Rhea Chakraborty and her family members, with the Patna Police.The case has now been handed over to the CBI, which has re-registered this FIR as a fresh case.
