Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 19: Vicky Kaushal’s Hit Film Overtakes Bollywood Biggies, Inches Closer to Rs 650 Crore Club Worldwide
Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna's 'Chhaava' continues to perform strongly in its third week, poised to surpass Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathan'. The film is projected to cross Rs 500 crore domestically this weekend, a milestone only a few films have achieved. This would also be Maddock Films' second film to reach this mark, following 'Stree 2'.
As of Tuesday, 'Chhaava' has earned Rs 472 crore in India, with a collection of Rs 5.5 crore that day. This makes it Vicky Kaushal's highest-grossing film and places it among the highest-earning Indian films, exceeding 'Dangal' and 'Sanju'. It currently ranks eighth among all Hindi movies and sixth when excluding dubbed films like 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' and 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion'.
'Chhaava' is also expected to overtake 'Animal' soon and will then target 'Pathaan' and 'Gadar 2' (both around Rs 525 crore domestically). Worldwide, it is nearing Rs 650 crore. The film adds to Rashmika Mandanna's recent success, with her last three movies collectively grossing over Rs 3000 crore globally. In India, 'Chhaava' has even outperformed 'Avengers: Endgame' and 'Avatar: The Way of Water'.
With the potential to enter the top five Hindi releases by surpassing 'Pathaan' and 'Gadar 2', Maddock Films could hold two of those spots, given 'Stree 2's' impressive Rs 600 crore gross. Currently, 'Pushpa 2' leads as the highest-grossing "Hindi" release with over Rs 800 crore.
